Jasmin Bambur is a Paralympic athlete from Serbia. He is the Serbian Disabled Ski Team. Jasmin is currently training for the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games in Vancouver, Canada. Jasmin is an ambitious athlete looking to compete in Slalom, Giant Slalom, Super G, Super Combined and Downhill. This will be Jasmin's first Paralympic Games.
Jasmin has been paralyzed from a car accident since January of 2000. Recently, Jasmin and his wife moved to Winter Park, Colorado so Jasmin could train full time with the National Sport Center for the Disabled. Last ski season came with many hurdles. Jasmin recently endured numerous surgeries to rid an infection in his leg. He also fractured his collarbone at U.S. Nationals in March. Jasmin hopes that all the injuries are out of the way so he can train 110% and get a medal in Vancouver.
Jasmin is very grateful for all the support family and friends have given since he set this amazing goal for himself. Even strangers he meets take interest in his passion for skiing.
Jasmin is currently fundraising for the Mt. Hood training camp in June. If you would like to donate, please click the "donate" page or send a check to the address below. Thank you for your help in making Jasmin's dream a reality.
